I do coding and productivity work at 6K, and gaming (where I use it at 4K, because even my 5090 can’t push 6K pixels on modern games at 165Hz), and this is an excellent monitor for people who do both and don’t want an OLED (due to text fringing or burnin issues). The text is razor sharp and the colors are nice and not oversaturated, very clean white, much better than my previous 32” 4K monitor. Minimal backlight bleed. Display is overall good and crisp, brightness is good but could improve in viewing angles, better if you have uniform brightness toward the edge. It also needs a back cover for uniformity with other monitors.

I've been using this Samsung Odyssey G8 monitor for both work during the day and gaming at night. Testing out the Dual Mode while playing Call of Duty made fast motion feel super fluid compared to my older setup, which made tracking moving targets a lot easier. I work remotely and do a lot of work on computers both during the week and on weekends. This monitor allows me to switch seamlessly via a docking station to my computer work or gaming. The monitor does both jobs well and the video quality for gaming is great!
