Customize the Quick settings panel with One UI 8.5
With One UI 8.5, you can customize the Quick settings panel on your Samsung Galaxy to make your favourite controls easier to access. Add, remove or rearrange controls, adjust their size and organize the panel to suit your needs. This guide explains how to personalize the layout and make the most of the available customization options.
Note: The information provided applies to Samsung Galaxy devices sold in Canada. Screens and settings may vary depending on the device model and software version.
You can customize the Quick settings panel by removing controls you don't need, rearranging frequently used controls and adjusting their size or orientation. Follow the steps below to organize the panel to suit your preferences.
Step 1. Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open the Quick panel.
Step 2. Tap the Edit icon.
Step 3. Tap the Remove icon at the top left of a control to delete it.
Step 4. Touch and hold a control, then drag it to the desired position.
Step 5. Drag the right edge of a control to resize it.
You can also change its orientation.
Note: Control resizing and orientation options may vary depending on the control.
You can add more controls to the Quick settings panel to access additional features and settings directly from the panel. Follow the steps below to choose and add the controls you want to use.
Step 1. Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open the Quick panel.
Step 2. Tap the Edit icon.
Step 3. Tap Add a control at the bottom.
Step 4. Select a control to add, or touch and hold it to move it.
Step 5. Add the control to Quick panel.
Step 6. Tap Done to save your changes.
You can customize the controls that appear at the top of the Quick settings panel when using the Together layout. Follow the steps below to add or remove controls and choose which settings are easier to access.
Step 1. Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open the Quick panel.
Step 2. Tap the Edit icon.
Step 3. Tap Panel settings.
Step 4. Set it to Together and then tap Edit top quick settings.
Step 5. Add or delete the desired controls and tap Done.
